A wide-ranging group of Asheville area organizations has joined together to encourage people in our community to get moving and live healthier. We call our effort Activate Asheville. We are dedicated to making the Asheville and the surrounding area the healthiest communities in North Carolina.

We believe that, together, we can accomplish more by helping to leverage the work that individual organizations, businesses, nonprofits and schools are already doing. This web site is a "clearinghouse" of valuable information on local events, best healthy lifestyle practices and shared resources.

Together, we will activate the Asheville area. Join us!
